monday may, 5

happy cinco de mayo everyone!  things have been going well on sidney street.  i am getting acquainted with my new house and lexi barking at the nice man that drops off goodies at the house every day.  don’t quite understand her yet, her tongue sticks out more than mine does.  i pretty much sleep all day.  i try and wake up every 3 hours to eat.  mommy and daddy are very patient with me because it takes me a long time to eat every time (even at 2 in the morning).  it can take me 30 minutes to take under an ounce and a half.  if i get tired they use a special bottle to squirt it in my mouth to make sure that i am getting enough food.  they will do anything to make sure that i don’t need to go back to the hospital.  so far so good!  i am also hooked up to an apnea monitor that makes sure that my heart rate is high enough and that i don’t stop breathing.  i have not set it off once!

Picture yesterday i had my first bath at home.  i still love to get a bath.  i call it my spa time.

other than eating and listening to lexi all day, i pretty much just catch some zzz’s.  i would have to say, i have a pretty sweet life.6a00d8341ce43053ef00e55228091a88348 6a00d8341ce43053ef00e55210af9c88338

mommy and daddy took me and lexi for a walk today.  they promised to show me the pretty flowers that mommy always told me about when i was in the hospital.  i asked mommy if duckie could go with us.  he keeps me company wherever i go.  it was bright out today, so i needed my shades.  i’m a pretty cool cat, aren’t i?  well, mommy and i are watching the cardinal game (sorry grandpa charlie i’m not a cubbie, i’m a little bird) so we are going to catch ya later alligators.  go birds!

oh yeah, i almost forgot…i want to give a shout out to my new friend carson.  he is not a princess but mommy showed me his pictures and he is a cool cat just like me…and pretty cute if i do say so myself…call me carson, maybe we can go see a movie this weekend.  ;)

love and fairy dust,

Hello Adali. I’m soooo glad you’re home! I read your post today about Carson. I wanted to let you know that you have a cousin named Carson,…and her nickname is princess! Isn’t that neat?
Keep us in touch with how you are doing. We are praying for your whole family from all the way over in Virginia.
    Love you bunches.
