i’m HOME…and i’m sooo happy!  when we last talked i told you that mommy and daddy were staying with me the whole night to feed me and if i gain weight and passed all of my other tests that i would get to go home yesterday.  well, i didn’t gain any weight (i actually lost 30 grams).  dr. sadiq started taking care of me again on thursday and when he came in yesterday and saw me, he was concerned that i wasn’t eating better than i was so he decided to run some labs.  in the meantime i had my hearing test and passed with flying colors.  my labs came back normal so mommy and daddy helped me eat all day so i could gain the weight i needed to and go home.

6a00d8341ce43053ef00e55223ac8c88348 i love my house and i was so excited to meet lexi.  she can’t quite figure out what i am but i still love her.  i have been sleeping most of the day but i did get to watch the horses today.  mommy loves the kentucky derby.  she even dressed me for the race and put my derby hat on me.  our horse didn’t win but it was still so exciting to watch my first derby.

Wow! We are so excited that you are at home! You tell mom and dad to get some rest when you are resting so that they can really enjoy you at home.
They do kind of have your room made up like the zoo. Enjoy your bed and your stuffed animals and get stronger so that you can go and see what the real zoo is like.
    Love you all,

Yeaaaa for Princess Adali!! Mom and dad told me the great news yesterday. I’m so excited for you. And see, you only needed a couple extra days at the hospital…you totally knew what you were doing, you little stinker! Have fun being home and enjoy your visitors, as I’m sure grandma Donna and gaga will be allll over you! (Grandmas and Grandpas are pretty fantastic in that way!) I’m heading over to the STL Zoo today with mommy and daddy. I can NOT wait for you to join us at the zoo this summer (the real one, that is). Have a great first Sunday home. I love you and am sooo PROUD of you!

    Dear Adali,

We are so THRILLED to hear that you were able to come home! You’re really getting to be quite a big little girl these days, but keep on growing. You look so beautiful in all your pictures and I love seeing your sweet little face without the oxygen cannula there. So glad that you got to watch the Kentucky Derby. I’m from Lexington, so that is a required activity in our house!

We’ve said many prayers of thanksgiving for your accomplishments and more were said after learning of this good news. We’ll await the next update and keep the prayers coming for continued good progress. We can’t wait to meet you!

    Lots of love,

    John & Lisa

  10. Adali,
