Jastin ticket
Adali rocking
so today was filled with much more laughter and absolutely no tears.  i mean, seriously, all you really can do when it starts raining every single time you step out of the car and gets sunny every time you get in the car is laugh.  and all you can do when you get pulled over by super trooper, "copstache" guy for going 43 mph in a school zone (25 mph) and he tells you that he "understands you aren't from here" and that he will "do you a favor and lower your speed to 39 mph on the ticket so that he doesn't have to arrest you," is laugh.  and all you can do is laugh when your husband decides he wants to reenact the dukes of hazard by flying over a speed bump in a quiet residential neighborhood.
let's face it, i will never fall in love with a place that has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight women being able to become members at their prestigious golf club.  but, i will make the most of our time here.  we think we have found a good house in a newer neighborhood and are in the process of working out the details.  i don't want to talk too much about it though, as not to jinx it.  i never believed in the whole jinxing thing until last week when i posted about life getting interesting for the a gang, speaking about a possible offer on our house only to have the whole thing fall through after saying that….but that's for another day.  in the meantime, we leave here tomorrow excited to get home but comfortable knowing we will be ok when we come back in a few months.
as i said this morning there really are very beautiful parts of augusta.  there is a nice mall, the antisdel staple of life also known as target and what looks like a very nice ymca that i hope to belong to so adali can frolic in the pool on hot summer days.
so never fear, i'm all done crying and ready to move on with life.  besides, when i really need a jolt to bring me back to reality, all i had to do is remember that today is the 1 year anniversary of when we were able to bring our little baby adali grace home from the nicu after 8 weeks.  and now…
Adali sobig
she's sooo big.
thank you for all of your comments this morning.  they really did help me put everything into perspective.
much love,

    Hey Jamie!
I don’t know if this will help or not but…it is almost a year later and I still cry, but not as much as I did a year ago! I cried when we made the decision to move and cried here and there once we got here. It does get easier, but who knew the Midwest could be so great?!

Happy for you guys. It IS an adventure, one made all the sweeter when you add a husband and a sweet little girl.
