time is flying.  i can't believe we have already been back in georgia for over a week.  i can't believe we only have a few more weeks left in the south before we become full time mid westerners.  i promise that i'm not wishing the time away…it's just going.  quickly.  and the funny part…i'm not entirely sure i want it to.  even though adali has had a bit of a 'tude lately, we are having fun back in the south.  maybe it's easier to have fun knowing our time is limited, maybe we are having fun because we feel like we need to soak up these last few tidbits of southern charm.  whatever it is, i like it.  so…dear time, slow down.

here are a few snippets of our recent fun.

i like to call these "all. by. myself. bubbles"

  Bubbles collage

push ups with daddy.  the first thing she says to me every morning is "play with daddy."

enjoying the first corn on the cob of the season.  summer is right around the corner.

coloring underneath the dark clouds as an evening storm rolls in.

and then, the snot monster invaded my little fairy.  so, today we have had lots of cuddles and tears and snot.

she looked and sounded pretty pathetic this morning.  when i realized it was going to be one of those crummy, no-fun days i knew the perfect thing to try and cheer the snot monger up…

…a little buzz and woody.

  Toy story

she perked right up, i tell ya.  she was all giggles when woody came to life and silly with excitement when buzz tried to fly.  she grabbed mouse, snuggled up on the couch and we made a morning of talking toys…and snot.

and i knew that a voice that sounded like sandpaper on a 2×4 must feel just as awful and that a dinner of homemade smoothie pops from here  (you have to check out this recipe blog…it pretty much rocks) would maybe help just a little.

that and a little bit of play-time with daddy.  afterall, he is the one who gifted her with the snot monster in the first place.

hopefully, tomorrow it's more smiles and less whimpers…and snot.  if not, buzz and woody are right where we left them.

gracie, i love you…to infinity and beyond!

much love,

mama a

Enjoy your last weeks as a southern belle or bill as Abby says it. (she calls her princess doll from Beauty and the Beast – “Bill”)
