last week adali and i were in illinois for a visit when we decided to go watch uncle charlie coach his  basketball game.  adali had been excited about this for several weeks, but i underestimated just how much she would enjoy it.  holy "she's totally going to grow up and follow in her mommy's footsteps with the a-g-g-r-e-s-s-i-v-e be agressive, be b-e aggressive chants."  either that or she's gonna bang on the drums for the pep band because she was obsessed with both.

she was really getting in to it!  best. face. ever.

uncle charlie suddenly became a superstar in her eyes.  she thinks your cool now uncle charlie and not just someone who teases her and yells really loud at the tv.

can you say sugar high…

keeping an eye on uncle charlie at all times.

we got spirit yes we do…we got spirit how 'bout you?

show off.  ps…i think her skirt is twice as long as what mine was back in the day and if she does one day become a cheerleader, i certainly hope it stays that way!

she may have been flirting with the boys here.

whatever they did…so did she…

…down to the fancy hand on the hip.

(one of my favorite pics ever)

thank you aunt stacy for the most sparkly cheerleading uniform money can buy!  gracie obviously loves it!

my heart swelled with love for this little crazy as i watched her have so much fun cheering on uncle charlie's team.  of course i have a teensy bit of pride since i was once a cheerleader.  i loved it and learned so many valuable lessons about life and so much about myself during those 4 years (than you angie) that i would be thrilled if adali decided to do the same.  and if she chose to play tuba or basketball or any other constructive activity i would still be so proud of her and love her just as much.

rah rah!

What a fun post! I was a cheerleader as well and love to see Ella in her official KU cheerleading costume, with her pon-poms and a huge smile, chanting “Rock, Chalk Jayhawk, Go KU!
Of course, I would love for her to be a cheerleader as well. What a fun experience for you and Adali is so adorable in her sparkly uniform!

Do I need to show proof of the St. A uniform? AND the fact that it was mine? She wore the top, one of my legs wore the bottom.

  4. Oh my gosh, she is ADORABLE! Love all the pictures and she looks so happy :)

Can I just say how funny it seems to me to see the tables turned…Red, White, & GREEN! Ahh…I love it! Although, I did my fair share of love for the Bulldogs during my high school days! :)

    Adali is simply precious!

She’s sure got her mama’s blood in her and I mean that in the BEST way. Thanks for the shout out, those years are such wonderful yet hard learning time!
