let's pretend it's still strawberry season and that this post might be half relevant shall we.  back in may the antisdel three trekked across the border into illinois to do some strawberry picking at eckert's.  jastin and i both have fond memories of picking strawberries when we were younger.  he would pick them from his grandma's garden and i grew up picking them at a local nursery/strawberry farm not far from our house at the time.  seeing as adali could eat an entire container of strawberries if i let her, we figured this would be a fun tradition to start with her this year.

at first she wasn't sure where to start…

but she soon caught on…

and was very proud of every red gem she plucked from the mounds of green leaves.

and for every one she put in her crate…

Eckerts-10

one inevitably ended up in her mouth.

after we were done picking, we thought it would be fun to eat lunch at their restaurant.  adali ate an entire container of their rolls (doughnuts) before her food ever even came.

we had a blast and we can't wait to do it again next year!

we enjoyed strawberries in every form and jastin even froze a few bags perfect for frozen strawberry daiquiris on hot summer days.  it's safe to say adali is a fan.

much love,

mama a
